孔子说,三军可夺帅也,匹夫不可夺志 也。 《论语 · 子罕》
The marshal of the three armies can be captured,but the will of a common man cannot be forced to alter.

Only in severe cold by the year end does one see that the pine and cypress trees will not wither.
曾子说,"士不可以不弘毅,任重而道 远。仁以为己任,不亦重乎。死而后已,不 亦远乎" 。《论语 · 泰伯》
Officials must be farsighted and determined, for he is entrusted with great responsibilities and has a long way to go. Isn't it great to practise benevolence as his own duty? Isn't it a long way to keep doing so all the time till his death?
