Ode on Eightieth Birthday
东山(1965届)译
Little do I care the ups and downs at age eighty,
Successors to carry on the Long March are all ready.
Lasting forever will be the cause founded by our leaders,
Admiring and running after them are we the followers.
To start anew, millions of determined men've shaken off the old,
Hegemonies in all five continents're sinking and perishing.
On the gleaming twilight happy am I to compose an ode,
Emerald hills bathing in the glory of the sun setting. |
