My agony knows no bounds while my country crumbling,
I seized the time coming overseas to find friends of the same mind.
The golden bowl already broken demands mending,
I'll not hesitate to sacrifice my life for the motherland.

Oh, the obstacles and dangers, alas, far from home alone,
I’ll go over passes and mountains for thousands of miles.
Do not say women are not heroic enough,
Hark, my Longquan sword on the wall is tinkling day and night.
