"Good Morning America's" sizzling 2013 Summer Concert Series returns for the fifth year to the Rumsey Playfield in New York City's Central Park, where music’s biggest names will perform live every Friday. GMA's Concert Series lineup is filled with an exciting and eclectic mix of all the hottest and biggest names in music today, starting with the one and only, Mariah Carey. All concerts are free and open to the public and will take place live during "Good Morning America," Fridays from 7-9am Eastern Time.Viewers interested in joining "GMA" in Central Park are encouraged to arrive at Rumsey Playfield via the 72nd street entrance on Fifth Avenue at 6am when the park opens to the public. More details about the GMA concert series. 2013 Toyota Concert Series on The Today Show: Fans and visitors are encouraged to join us on the plaza for the live performances, every Friday morning. Viewing is on a first-come, first-served basis outside TODAY's window-on-the-world studio, located at 49th Street and Rockefeller Plaza. Fans should arrive by 6am for best viewing.
2013 Metropolitan Opera's Summer Recital Series: The Met's annual concert series in New York City parks is one of the most beloved summer traditions in the city. This year, the Summer Recital Series returns with six performances in the parks of all five boroughs. The series kicks off with a concert at Central Park SummerStage on July 16, featuring rising opera stars soprano Erin Morley, mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard, and tenor Stephen Costello. Thursday, August 1, 2013, 7pm Broadway in Bryant Park: New York City's most popular Broadway and Off-Broadway shows perform their biggest hits FREE of charge in midtown Manhattan's beautiful Bryant Park. Broadway in Bryant Park will showcase numbers from recent 2013 and past Tony Award-winning musicals, including Kinky Boots, Annie The Musical, Pippin, Cinderella, Motown The Musical and Once. Madison Square Park Oval Lawn Series: Every Wednesday evening, June 19-August 7, 2013

Madison Square Park Conservancy's Mad. Sq. Music: Oval Lawn Series presents award-winning performers in an eclectic range of genres, including folk, jazz, bluegrass, soul/R&B, and Americana. Set against the magnificent backdrop of historic Madison Square Park, the Oval Lawn Series is an enjoyable and relaxing way to hear live music by some of the most acclaimed and respected artists on the national scene. All shows are appropriate for the whole family, and visitors are encouraged to bring a blanket and a picnic (no chairs allowed). Back for an encore performance, the Fatty Crew (Fatty Crab, Fatty Cue and Pig & Khao) are dishing out their "Fatty Flavas" throughout our summer event! The 35th Anniversary Seaside Summer Concert Series at Coney Island: July 12-August 15, 2013 (every Thursday at 7:30pm, except for Friday, July 12 and Wednesday, August 21st). Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz hosts the 35th Anniversary Seaside Summer Concert Series at Coney Island.
Performances are at West 21st Street and Surf Avenue in Coney Island, next to the home of the Brooklyn Cyclones. All shows are free. The public is encouraged to bring their own chairs. A limited number of $5 rental chairs are available on a first-come first-served basis. Call the concert hotline for updates at 718-222-0600.
