Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus and Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan W. Greenert announced today the following assignments:
Rear Adm. Robert P. Girrier will be assigned as director, unmanned weapons systems, N99, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Washington, District of Columbia. Girrier is currently serving as deputy commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
Rear Adm. (lower half) Dee L. Mewbourne will be assigned as director, maritime operations (N3/N5/N2/N7), U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia. Mewbourne is currently serving as commander, Carrier Strike Group Eleven, Everett, Washington.
Capt. Ann M. Burkhardt, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, 21st Century Sailor Office, N17, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Arlington, Virginia. Burkhardt is currently serving as Chief of Naval Operations Strategic Studies Group Fellow, Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island.
Capt. Grafton D. Chase Jr., selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as reserve director, logistics programs and business operations, N41, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Norfolk, Virginia. Chase is currently serving as deputy chief of staff for reserve operations, Naval Supply Systems Command Global Logistics Support, San Diego, California
Capt. John W. Korka, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as commander, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific, Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Korka is currently serving as director, maritime headquarters, Navy Expeditionary Combat Command, Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Capt. Peter G. Stamatopoulos, selected for promotion to rear admiral (lower half), will be assigned as director, fleet ordnance and supply; and fleet supply officer, N41, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia. Stamatopoulos is currently serving as special assistant to commander, U.S. Fleet Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.
